This pendant has literally touched space. On March 14th, the students of Earth to Sky Calculus launched it from a fjord in Norway on a three hour trip to Earth’s auroral oval. Carried aloft by a high-altitude helium balloon, the Northern Lights pendant rose to an altitude of 113,000 feet where it experienced temperatures as low as -50 C and air pressures less than 0.1% of sea level.
You can have one for $79.95. Each piece of space jewelry comes with a greeting card showing the pendant in flight and telling the story of its journey to the stratosphere and back again.
These pendants make great Birthday and Mother’s Day gifts.
